Alex Key is a traditional country singer, songwriter and Nashville recording artist who believes in reviving the classic country sound and maintaining a strong pedal steel and fiddle presence in his music! Alex comes from a small town in the foothills of NC called Wilkesboro, where he grew up on multi-generation family farm listening to music inspiration of all kinds. His mom (and personal manager, Karen) raised him on some of the greats like George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, etc.. and this is where Alex believes his love for classic country began. Fast forward to present day; Alex's most recent album titled "Outdated" (May 10, 2024) debuted at #1 on Amazon music best sellers and new releases, reached #7 on the iTunes Charts after the title track (Outdated) went viral in September, gaining almost 27 million views across social media, and has since seen over 6,500,000 album streams since it's release! A single released ahead of the album ("Haunted House" - October 2023) spent over a week in the top 100 iTunes Charts and saw viral success on Tiktok, instagram, and facebook gaining millions of views on those platforms! His album released in august 2022 ("Neon Signs and Stained Glass") also debuted #1 on Amazon music with viral songs like "Tomorrow I'll Be Over You" and "Everything Must Go!" Rewind back to 2021, his spring album release “Barstools and Saddles” hit the top 40 on iTunes world wide country charts multiple times after songs like “The Fool That I Am” “Sleep Talking” and "The Cowboy Stayed" had their own moments of viral success on social media! His music has now been streamed 30 million + times and featured on Major outlets such as CMT, Saving Country Music, Country Music People Magazine, and more.. Talk about coming onto the scene with a bang! With now over 1,000,000 followers across his socials, it’s safe to say he has large and devout fan base.
In February of 2025, Alex was honored to step into the legendary Circle at The Grand Ole Opry for his very first time after he was invited by the NWTF to be a part of the "Conservation Aid" (An annual event put on by the National Wild Turkey Federation in conjunction with the Grand Ole Opry.) Alex says that stepping into the Circle was a blessing and definitely the pinnacle venue for all who walk down the path to becoming a country star!
These are a just a few of the impressive accolades that Alex and his team have been able to holster; Not bad for a completely independent artists who writes all of his own music (and even drives his own 45 foot tour bus!)
When it comes to hitting the stage, He and his amazing band are drawing, captivating and engaging the audience with his throwback originals, as well as their take on hit covers from the legends! Alex’s shows are always family friendly and he wants people of all ages to come and enjoy the experience.. They’ve toured over many states playing concert series, festivals, venues. Often headlining, but sometimes opening for/appearing on lineups with artists such as Little Texas, Eli Young Band, Muscadine Bloodline, Lauren Alaina, Chayce Beckham, the Kentucky Headhunters, Mark Wills, Wynonna Judd, Tyler Childers, Craig Campbell, Jacob Bryant, Whey Jennings and more.
From the time the bus and trailer roll into town, to when the lights come up, until the time they roll out; Alex and his crew are a well-oiled honky tonk machine ready to bring that classic country sound to you, wherever you may be!
But the question is, are you ready? Get your boots on.
